As a complete beginner it is important that you understand the very basics of the Krav Maga system and therefore are required to attend an induction session. This gives you an overview of the system & allows you to meet and practice alongside other people who are also new to Krav Maga. They also prepare you for joining the Regular Group Classes. These sessions are aimed at those who are new to Krav Maga – or to self-protection generally – and wish to give it a try.
You will be given an overview of aspects of the curriculum and will cover techniques such as strikes/kicks, vulnerable targets; defence against punches, defence against knife threat/knife attack, defence against stick attack and handgun defences with disarm.
You will begin to understand the mindset of Krav Maga and how we help you develop the potential to `switch-on` in a confrontation by use of drills that have been taught to Krav Maga trainees around the world and why we live up to our motto "Krav Maga-We Save Lives"
Each session is fun, friendly, and paced appropriately.
After you have completed the induction you have the option to become a member of Krav Maga Birmingham. If you join, you are able to train at any of our listed classes across the region.
There 3 options to participate in an Induction Workshop:
1 - Via Group Induction - These are usually held every calender month.
2 - Via Class Induction - You will participate in a class and see the format of a general class.
3 - Via a 121 basis. This can be arranged at a mutually convenient date/time.
